Tarlac State University (TSU) was recognized as one of the valued partner institutions of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) during the Academy’s 52nd Founding Anniversary celebration held on December 5, 2026, at the DAP Building, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

With the theme “DAPat Magaling: Driving Change, Shaping the Future,” the event highlighted DAP’s more than five decades of service as the government’s premier training and research institution dedicated to promoting excellence in governance, innovation, and public sector capability-building.

TSU was represented by University President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, Director for Planning Dr. Jay R. Pabustan, and Planning Officer II Janice Dela Cruz. The recognition underscores TSU’s active collaboration with DAP in advancing institutional development and strategic planning initiatives.

Among these is the recently conducted program, “Strategic Foresight for TSU 2025–2035: Planning for Tarlac State University,” held in two phases — online sessions on August 6–8 and face-to-face workshops on August 13–15 at the DAP Training Center in Tagaytay.

DAP Acting President and CEO Dr. Leocardio S. Sebastian reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to nurturing strong partnerships with institutions like TSU to help drive reforms, build resilience, and improve public service delivery nationwide.

TSU’s recognition reflects its growing role as an active partner in governance innovation and higher education development aligned with national priorities.
