Tarlac State University officially launched FOXY (Future-ready Online eXperience for You)-TSU Chatbot, its first artificial intelligence-powered digital assistant for students and employees, during the flag-raising ceremony held today (June 23) at the Main Campus.

Developed by the Office of Management Information Systems–Software Development Unit, FOXY serves as the university’s digital helper and can be accessed through the student and employee portals. The chatbot is designed to provide quick, convenient access to information, supporting the university’s ongoing digitalization efforts and its commitment to improving the user experience.

"With more than 55 systems developed…our commitment remains the same: to simplify complexity through technology and empower the university to focus on what matters most-education, service, and innovation," Vice President for Administration Dr. Marlon V. Gamido, also the concurrent OMIS Director, said in his message during the ceremony.

Currently in its early testing stage, FOXY's knowledge base is sourced from information available on the official TSU website. Students and employees may now ask questions, and FOXY will generate responses based on its existing knowledge base.

Joining the OMIS-SDU as flag-raising hosts are the Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development (CCLGSPD) and the College of Industrial Technology's Automotive department at Lucinda and San Isidro campuses, respectively.

In a message, University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza underscored the importance of the weekly value focus of resourcefulness in the university.

“Many institutions have more than we do. What sets TSU apart is not how we are given, but how resourcefully we use what God and this institution have given us,” Pres. Mendoza said.

“Sustainable innovation does not begin with abundance; it begins with a resourceful mind,” he added.
